Conduct 5 mock specimen collections covering common & uncommon specimen collection and testing scenarios. Receive resources and documents to advance your knowledge.
Maintain ongoing support with "OccMed for DC's". Receive your Professional Specimen Collector Certification and perform collections with greater confidence and ease. This course may be used for Initial Training or the 5 Year Recertification training requirements.

This course is not sponsored by NIOSH however, the exact curriculum training program recommended by NIOSH is followed over a two day period.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Curriculum in this course is approved by the North Texas Safety Council, Division of Healthcare Training. Participants in this course become familiar with all aspects of OSHA Hearing Conservation Program, including noise measurement and control, anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, hearing protection and employee personal protection equipment. OSHA standards, worker’s compensation and other state and federal regulations are discussed in relation to hearing loss. Students participate in hands-on manual hearing testing from experienced instructors. They learn to identify standard threshold shifts and audiograms that may require a referral. Specific training for equipment recommended by OccMed for DC's to familiarize the participant with the various equipment options available on the market.
